Non Woven Geotextile
Spunbound (needle punched and mechanically bonded) is an environmentally friendly nonwoven made from continuous polyester filaments bonded solely by needle punching without chemical additives or thermal action. Mechanically bonded polyester filaments produce a voluminous, three dimensional non woven with a rough surface and outstanding physical properties.
Compared to other raw materials, Spunbound made from polyester is much resistant to ultraviolet radiation, even at brief exposure to temperatures of approximately 200º C, its properties remain unchanged.
The high specific gravity of polyester facilitates underwater installation and does not float in water.
With its high penetration force and high expandibility, Spunbound reliably protects against perforation under concentrated loads.
The filament intersection points are not fixed and provide ideal elongation properties. For example, if a rock is pressed in halfway, elongation is almost 60%.
