LANDSLIDE REHABILITATION WITH TERRAMESH SYSTEM AT MAKALE - PALOPO ROAD
LANDSLIDE REHABILITATION WITH TERRAMESH SYSTEM AT MAKALE - PALOPO ROAD On November 8, 2009 a landslide disaster occured and destroyed road between Tana Toraja (Tator) and Palopo City in South Sulawesi. The road was broken and completely not function. The subgrade consists of andesit with limited and isolated area, so it is not possible for heavy equipments to do pilling or boring work. A structure with permeable characteristic is also needed to keep the water flowing. Maccaferri Terramesh System as a flexible structure can provide solution for the problems. The landslide can be reconstructed with reinforced embankment structure.

REINFORCED EMBANKMENT WITH TERRAMESH SYSTEM AT NAGREG RING ROAD
REINFORCED EMBANKMENT WITH TERRAMESH SYSTEM AT NAGREG RING ROAD Nagreg Ring Road lies largely in the topography of valley and hills. Considering the conditions of the limited area, the construction of the road had to be constructed by cutting the hill and filling the valley. Level plan of the road surface elevation varies between 9 m to 36 m above ground foundation. Maccaferri Terramesh System and Macgrid as a flexible structure can provide solution for the problems. Reinforced embankment structure is able to have more straighten comparing to convensional embankment, thereby reducing the use of embankment material.

ROAD WIDENING PROJECT - PAYAKUMBUH – BATAS RIAU
Road Widening Project - PAYAKUMBUH – BATAS RIAU The 100 m long, of road widening area at Payakumbuh - Batas Riau was difficult section to construct, because of the lack of level ground. This problem has made the foundation are impossible to build from bore pile or another piles foundation (such as concrete pile or steel pile). Beside that there are some other problem like restricted space of land area usage to do some retaining work, because the position of the road is in the middle of the valley.

CASE - CIPANAS
Case - Cipanas The geographical position of Cipanas which lies surround by mountains in West Java have made the soil in this area very fertile. A lot of water sources also makes this area easy to failure. Below the road in Cipanas, the soil was eroded by the change of water flow which getting nearest to embankment of the road. This condition in a short time has made a deep cave about 26m below the road.

This new toll road was namely Cipularang. The construction process began from Sadang until Padalarang. This work included to a complicated and difficult job, not only because of the implementation technique, but also the impact of the toll road to the condition and environmental balanced not very simple.
